the unavoidable intoduction..

Over the years I have had amazing conversations about religion, politics, race, life, work. and everything else. My life is made up of these diverse interactions with seemingly random people who have planted seeds of hope, wisdom, enthusiasm, and feelings. This site is a small attemp to capture my life. You may not find it very interesting. The facts, the figures, the names, the dreams may mean nothing to you but they are all a part of me.

I am into web, print design, illustration, custom stationery and ceramics. With over 14 years of experience within the industry. I have worked for leading creative agencies and highly imaginatve people and an experience which is great fun and broadened my expertise immensely.

a typical day in my life:

I always wished to have time spent on thoughtful tea-drinking all by myself early in the morning, preparing a nice breakfast, reading the paper and leaving for the office/studio but usually it goes like this:

  • - wake up much later than intended
  • - run to the office while eating
  • - answer emails & make some phone calls
  • - start work immediately
  • - get distracted online for a while
  • - work and work until evening

POTTERY & CERAMICS

Clay has been a passion all my life, but it became my other profession about seven years ago when I studied for a Diploma for Arts in Ceramics. At that point I thought I was only interested in form, pure form nothing flashy. However, I have gradually understood that form though fundamental is just a starting point. I enjoy the craft of working with clay. The blessing of flame and oxides on the bare clay and the extra warmth and drama it adds to the pot. The many process involved from inception to a ceramic object are many and varied. The challenge of the "right" combination keeps me engaged in this work.

I have exhibited twice. I never use moulds.. i work both in stoneware and terracotta.. I have done a workshop in raku and had loved it...all my patterns and paintings are original... all my work is hand built with great care and love. And I juggle between web designing and building pots!

Today(s):

  • - a clean bill of health.
  • - getting comfortable in the new chair.
  • - home, famiy and old friends make you wonder
  • - why leave?
  • - making up stories about the people passing by on the subway.
  • - sitting content in a corner .
  • - all of a sudden busy feels good.

I read it somewhere:

If we can’t gather around my table over a cup of coffee,at least we can connect there in that space. When all was said and done - we had to start all over again! I am so full from this weekend - so full of friendship, i am a cup today, full to overflowing. Picking it up he said, "I found this for you." I go to the grocery store because I crave human contact.
